Our History

established in 2011​

A Work of Faith…

Faith Baptist Church was started in 2011 originally as Faith Baptist Temple under the leadership of former pastor Stephen Barr. It was a mighty leap of faith as the the local area had no Independent Fundamental Bible Believing Baptist church. The church was started in a store front located at 1837 S. Main Street.

A New Home…

In 2018 the Lord laid it on the heart of a generous donor to donate a new building located at 107 N Major St for the purpose of reaching folks in the area with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Church Remodeling…

In 2019 our church began its big remodeling project which was very much needed to increase space and upgrade several things in our building

A passing of the baton…

In October of 2022, pastor Stephen Barr resigned to fulfil his calling to the foreign mission field and the church voted to take on Jay Griggs as their new pastor.

A New Beginning…

In June of 2022, the church voted unanimously to change the name from Faith Baptist Temple to Faith Baptist Church.
